Wellington Park Papers
The Trust is proud to release a new publication series, Wellington Park Papers. The series aims to celebrate and document Wellington Park, and seeks to allow valuable and otherwise inaccessible material relating to the Park to become publicly available.
Wellington Park Papers No.1 is titled Mountain View: a diary of reflection. The diary takes a thoughtful and witty look at the role of the Mountain within our daily lives, and provides an ongoing conversation with the reader regarding the values and presence of this most significant backdrop.
Wellington Park Papers No.1 is now available for $14.95 from the Hobart City Council Customer Service Centre (cnr Elizabeth and Davey Street) and from selected bookshops in Hobart.
The Trust welcomes any submissions - including historical albums, manuscripts, diaries and research reports for consideration in future editions - please contact the Wellington Park Office for further information.
The Mountain DVD
The Trust, in association with Thunderbolt Productions, has released a new DVD on the Mountain. This beautiful documentary tells the story of the Mountain's birth and evolution, containing spectacular imagery and moving music.
The DVD may be purchased directly from Thunderbolt Productions, or at good bookstores and other locations in Hobart.
The Mountain Book
To celebrate the special relationship of the people of southern Tasmania with Mount Wellington, the Trust, in association with the Hobart City Council published 'the mountain...a people's perspective' by Emily Stoddart. This combination of stories and images from scientists, track workers, road builders, students, walkers and locals, highlights the role of the Mountain in everyday life.

Historical publications are catalogued through the State Library of Tasmania. Many can be viewed at the Tasmaniana Library, Murray St, Hobart.
